The hunt may soon be on in Dead by Daylight — and this time, it looks like Predator is stalking the Fog.
Fans are buzzing after a series of clues strongly suggest that Behaviour Interactive’s next licensed chapter, expected in January 2026, could feature the legendary alien hunter from the Predator franchise.
A Franchise Back from the Shadows
2025 has been a massive year for Predator. The franchise roared back to life with a new animated film earlier this year and an upcoming live-action movie set to release in November. Notably, the Dead by Daylight chapter originally scheduled for November 2025 was reportedly delayed to January — a timing that perfectly aligns with Predator’s renewed spotlight.
Behaviour has a well-documented history of syncing collaborations with major franchise releases. Past crossovers with Leatherface, Resident Evil, Stranger Things, and Dungeons & Dragons all launched around major media events tied to those IPs. The pattern fits perfectly here.
Disney Connection Strengthens the Case
There’s also a key licensing factor: Predator is now owned by Disney, which already has a presence in Dead by Daylight through the Alien chapter. But not only, in fact, one of the Xenomorph’s skins features green-striped armor inspired by Aliens vs. Predator — an unmistakable nod to the crossover between the two iconic creatures.
Given Disney’s openness to licensing its properties to Behaviour for Alien, expanding that partnership to include Predator would be a logical next step.
In-Game Clues: The Hunt Has Already Begun
Recently, players have discovered several mysterious updates in one of Dead by Daylight’s existing maps — the one featuring the movie theater. These changes include a new arcade cabinet labeled “Skull Mission” and an arcade game outside the cinema that rewards players with a skull.
The additions are especially suspicious because they appeared in a non-new map, suggesting they were added deliberately to tease upcoming content.
And if there’s one thing that defines the Predator, it’s skulls — the creature’s signature trophies collected from its prey.
This isn’t the first time Behaviour has hidden clues in maps before a big reveal. Past collaborations, including Tokyo Ghoul and Dungeons & Dragons, were both foreshadowed by environmental hints months before their official announcements.
A Perfect Storm of Evidence
With the timing of the movie release, Behaviour’s collaboration track record, the Disney connection, and the eerie in-game hints, the pieces fit together almost too well.
While Behaviour Interactive hasn’t confirmed anything yet, all signs point to the intergalactic hunter making its way into Dead by Daylight early next year.
If true, January 2026 might mark one of the most exciting crossovers in the game’s history — a battle of hunters and survivors where only the strongest will make it out alive.
