Exciting new discoveries have emerged from the Public Test Build (PTB) files of Dead by Daylight, specifically related to the upcoming Stranger Things Chapter 2. Data miners have uncovered unused voice lines attributed to Vecna, but with an interesting twist: the character speaks in a normal human voice rather than Vecna’s distorted, monstrous tone.
This detail has sparked strong speculation within the community. The presence of normal speech strongly suggests that Dead by Daylight may be preparing a Legendary skin for Vecna, potentially featuring the human form portrayed by the actor Jamie Campbell Bower. Internally, the skin is being referred to by fans as “Mr. Whatsit,” aligning with Vecna’s human appearance from the series. If confirmed, this would follow Behaviour Interactive’s tradition of Legendary cosmetics that completely transform a character’s model and voice.
In addition to this discovery, Behaviour Interactive has officially confirmed that Dustin and Eleven will receive unique voice lines when the chapter fully releases. Their absence in the current PTB has been clarified as intentional, meaning the files are simply not active yet rather than scrapped. Fans can expect fully voiced interactions once the update goes live.
The Stranger Things Chapter 2 is scheduled to release on January 27, bringing new content, characters, and cosmetics to the game. But that’s not all—Behaviour has also teased upcoming chaos with the announcement of a new 2v8 game mode, which will soon feature Chucky as a playable killer, adding even more unpredictability to the experience.
With leaked voice lines, confirmed character updates, and ambitious new modes on the horizon, Dead by Daylight players have plenty to look forward to in the coming weeks.
