Dead by Daylight 10th Anniversary Recap – Scooby Doo, Terrifier, Silent Hill f, New Game Modes and Massive Visual Upgrades

Behaviour Interactive used the Dead by Daylight 10th Anniversary livestream to unveil one of the most ambitious roadmaps in the game’s history, revealing not only a major visual evolution for the horror multiplayer title but also a long list of collaborations that will expand the game well into 2027.

Dead by Daylight Is About to Look Better Than Ever + New Survivor & Map

The biggest technical announcement of the event was a substantial graphical overhaul coming to Dead by Daylight.

While the game has already received visual updates over the years, Behaviour confirmed that this upcoming evolution will be far more impactful than anything seen before. The update will completely rethink several visual systems across the game, including lighting sources, shadow rendering, environmental atmosphere, and character models.

According to the reveal, maps and characters will benefit from improved detail and more realistic illumination, creating a darker, more immersive horror experience while maintaining Dead by Daylight’s recognizable style. This represents one of the largest visual transformations in the game’s history.

Ice Nine Kills Join the Fog + Dead by Daylight Movie

Music collaborations continue to grow inside Dead by Daylight.

Following previous crossover collections inspired by Slipknot and Iron Maiden, Behaviour announced a brand-new partnership with horror-inspired metal band Ice Nine Kills. The collaboration will arrive through skins, bringing the band’s signature aesthetic into The Fog.

It has also been announced that the Dead by Daylight movie has finally got a director: Thordur Palsson. Macmillan and Greenville will be part of the game’s settings, as well as well-known characters from within the game. Filming is scheduled for next year!

Silent Hill f Collaboration Revealed + Frank Stone & Grimoire Chapters

Another major surprise during the anniversary stream was the reveal of a collaboration with Silent Hill f.

The crossover will introduce Hinako as a legendary skin in Dead by Daylight, continuing the long-standing relationship between Behaviour and the Silent Hill universe while connecting the upcoming chapter of Konami’s horror franchise with the multiplayer experience.

Moreover, the Grimoire Chapter is coming on August and the Frank Stone Chapter is Coming on 2027

The anniversary Event is called The Black Banquet!

Year 10 Roadmap Extends Until April 2027 + New Game Modes

Alongside the reveals, Behaviour published the official 10th Anniversary roadmap, outlining upcoming content through April 2027.

The roadmap confirms a steady stream of chapters, events, collaborations, cosmetics, and gameplay updates designed to support what is becoming one of the longest-running live-service horror experiences in gaming.

Two new game modes have also been announced: 1v1 and Zombie Mode

Crossovers Beyond Dead by Daylight

The anniversary celebrations also new collaborations, also Negan will join the game in 2027:

For Honor x Dead by Daylight

Ubisoft’s For Honor will receive Dead by Daylight content with the arrival of The Oni inside the medieval combat game.

Rainbow Six Siege x Dead by Daylight

Rainbow Six Siege players will also get to experience a special limited-time event.

The “Join the Deathmatch Mini Event inspired by Dead by Daylight” introduces themed bundles featuring:

  • Nøkk as The Nurse
  • Vigil as The Trickster
  • Alibi as The Legion

The collaboration expands Behaviour’s universe beyond the asymmetrical horror formula and into Ubisoft’s tactical shooter.

Art the Clown Finally Becomes a Killer

After months of speculation and discussions throughout the community since last year, Behaviour officially announced the arrival of Terrifier.

Art the Clown will become a fully playable Killer later this year, bringing one of modern horror’s most recognizable icons into Dead by Daylight and closing one of the most requested collaborations from fans.

With graphical improvements, an ambitious multi-year roadmap, and collaborations spanning music, games, films, and anime, Dead by Daylight’s tenth anniversary appears to mark the beginning of one of the most content-rich eras in the game’s history.
