As the holiday season approaches, Dead by Daylight is preparing to deliver festive cheer—and fear—to its players. This December, Behaviour Interactive is releasing two new Christmas-themed skins for two of the game’s most iconic killers: Ghost Face and Chucky!
But the seasonal cosmetics aren’t the only thing stirring excitement in the community. Attention is already shifting toward March, when the next survivor is scheduled to be released. Recent information found in the upcoming Tome—set to begin in December—suggests that this new survivor may be Renjiro Yamaoka, a name that has piqued the interest of lore enthusiasts.
Renjiro is not a character currently featured in Dead by Daylight, but lore elements within the Tome point directly to him. If these hints are indeed foreshadowing the March Chapter, Renjiro would become the third piece of content connected to the Yamaoka family, following the killer releases of The Spirit (Rin Yamaoka) and The Oni (Kazan Yamaoka).
In the Dead by Daylight universe, Renjiro holds a significant place in the Yamaoka lineage. He is Kazan’s father, Rin’s ancestor, and canonically the first member of the cursed Yamaoka bloodline. His introduction as a survivor would create a fascinating narrative twist: a figure deeply tied to a family known for tragedy and vengeance stepping into the Fog not as a killer, but as one of the hunted.
If Renjiro is confirmed for March, players can expect a compelling blend of lore expansion, gameplay innovation, and thematic depth—something Behaviour has increasingly emphasized with its original characters.
For now, fans can enjoy the holiday festivities with the upcoming Ghost Face and Chucky skins, while speculation continues to build around what may become one of the most lore-rich survivor releases to date.
