Dead by Daylight’s fog is about to get a whole lot darker—and stranger. After the acclaimed Attack on Titan & Tokyo Ghoul collaboration, Behaviour Interactive is doubling down on its ever-expanding horror multiverse with an ambitious roadmap of crossovers that span anime, sci-fi, slasher films, and even cosmic horror.

Rumors (nothing is official for now) about collabs in development: Chainsaw Man, Death Note, Predator, Jurassic Park, Friday the 13th, Terrifier, The Walking Dead, and an original chapter inspired by the works of H.P. Lovecraft. Here’s everything we know so far.

Anime Invades the Fog: Chainsaw Man and Death Note

Behaviour is continuing its love affair with anime, and the rumors about next two arrivals are heavy hitters. Chainsaw Man, known for its brutal demon-slaying action and chaotic characters, is expected to bring a high-energy killer—and possibly survivors—from its blood-soaked universe.

Meanwhile, Death Note will explore a different side of horror. Its psychological tone may introduce mechanics that revolve around manipulation, fate, or even stealth, featuring icons like Light Yagami and Ryuk in ways never before seen in the game.

Two worlds collide: anime horror enters The Entity’s realm.

What Is Death Note?

Death Note is a Japanese manga and anime series created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The story follows Light Yagami, a highly intelligent high school student who discovers a mysterious notebook dropped by a Shinigami (death god) named Ryuk. The notebook, called the “Death Note,” grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose name is written in it, as long as the user knows the person’s face.

What begins as Light’s personal crusade to rid the world of criminals soon spirals into a complex psychological battle, especially when he attracts the attention of L—a world-renowned detective trying to stop him. The series is known for its intense mind games, moral questions, and philosophical exploration of justice, power, and identity.

What Is Chainsaw Man?

Chainsaw Man is a manga and anime series created by Tatsuki Fujimoto. It follows Denji, a young man living in poverty who hunts devils to pay off his deceased father’s massive debt. After a betrayal leads to his death, Denji fuses with his pet devil Pochita and is resurrected as Chainsaw Man, a devil-human hybrid with chainsaws for arms and a chainsaw engine sticking out of his chest.

Denji is recruited by a government organization to hunt down dangerous devils threatening humanity. The series is known for its ultraviolent action, dark humor, emotional depth, and chaotic energy. Unlike traditional shonen (young male) series, Chainsaw Man subverts genre tropes, balancing over-the-top gore with surprisingly raw, human moments.

Predator and Jurassic Park: The Hunt Evolves

The Predator is rumored to be slated for later this year, bringing one of sci-fi’s most fearsome hunters into Dead by Daylight. With iconic gadgets like cloaking and thermal vision, the killer is expected to introduce a stealth-and-strike playstyle unlike anything currently in the roster.

A Jurassic Park collaboration is rumored to be in the works, with a release set to 2026. While nothing hasn’t confirmed how dinosaurs will be implemented, fans are already speculating about an entirely new killer type—or possibly a unique terror radius that includes that chilling T-Rex roar.

Science fiction meets survival horror in thrilling new ways.

Slashers, Clowns, and the Undead: 2026 Looks Bloody

June 2026 marks Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary, and Behaviour is aiming big. Talks are rumored to be ongoing to bring Friday the 13th into the game just in time for the celebration. If successful, Jason Voorhees will finally make his debut, solidifying Dead by Daylight as the definitive slasherverse.

Also rumored to arrive that year: Terrifier, with the grotesque and silent Art the Clown likely stepping into the killer role, and The Walking Dead, set to deliver a grim and gritty survivor-based experience pulled straight from its apocalyptic world.

A decade of death, celebrated in true horror fashion.

The Madness Beneath: An Original Lovecraft-Inspired Chapter

Alongside licensed content, Behaviour is also rumored to be developing an original chapter inspired by the cosmic horror of H.P. Lovecraft. While not tied to any specific story, the chapter will take cues from the terrifying mythos of Cthulhu, ancient cults, and reality-bending terror.

Who Was H.P. Lovecraft?

H.P. Lovecraft was a visionary horror writer whose early 20th-century tales introduced the genre of “cosmic horror”—the dread of the unknown, the insignificance of mankind, and the horrors lurking just beyond human comprehension.

Stories like The Call of Cthulhu, The Shadow Over Innsmouth, and At the Mountains of Madness continue to influence media to this day, including games such as The Sinking City, Bloodborne, and Call of Cthulhu. Behaviour’s original take aims to channel this same atmosphere of creeping insanity and unnameable horror into the world of Dead by Daylight.

Sanity will be tested. Knowledge will be cursed.

A Multiverse of Fear

Dead by Daylight has always been a celebration of horror across all mediums, and these upcoming chapters prove the game is only getting more ambitious. With anime, sci-fi, slashers, zombies, and eldritch gods all converging under The Entity’s eye, the future of Dead by Daylight promises to be unforgettable—and terrifying.

Stay close to the fire. The darkness is coming.

P.S.: None of the content mentioned above has been officially confirmed by Behaviour Interactive at this time. These are currently rumors and speculative reports based on internal sources and ongoing discussions. As always, plans are subject to change, and nothing is guaranteed until officially announced by the developers. Stay tuned for verified updates from Behaviour themselves.
