Dead by Daylight is experimenting with a new thing, dialogue lines during the game, and it is doing so with the new survivor coming July 25, namely Nicolas Cage:
Dead by Daylight's main source of popularity comes precisely from the many collaborations that are made throughout the year, and in fact in addition to Nicolas Cage, two more chapters 'from very iconic licenses' are coming this year:
And Behaviour Interactive seems to want to try to insert some novelties within the gameplay of the game, which is now starting to be many years old (I remind you that the game was released in 2016, in three years it will be ten years of Dead by Daylight)
When Ash Williams was released, they took advantage of their collaboration with the actor to have him record a few lines of dialogue, which, however, only worked in the lobby, whereas with Nicolas Cage, thanks in part to the experience gained over the years of development, they have managed to involve the survivor's voice acting even during matches, linking specific phrases to specific actions that happen during matches, for example Nicolas Cage has different lines of dialogue depending on what he is doing, such as healing another survivor, escaping from the killer, opening exit gates, and many others.
So this could be an experiment to see how it works and if people like it, and then perhaps expand it to the other survivors within the game.
For example, would you like it if when Claudette and Dwight heal each other, they exclaim a phrase of thanks?
Survivors speaking could be a great addition to the game, which could improve the immersiveness of the gameplay and thus also improve the enjoyment of performing certain actions.
What do you guys think, would you like it?
