Vecna’s arrival within Dead by Daylight was preceded by a series of speculations that had been going on since late 2023, and after the announcement by Dungeons and Dragons social channels of the Vecna-dedicated expansion to be released in May 2024, the rumors began to become more and more persistent.

Thus, during the anniversary livestream that took place several weeks ago there was the official reveal of the chapter with Vecna that will be accompanied by a new survivor who for the first time in the game will have two sexes (like the legion) that will differentiate the character model as if they were two different survivors, and also a map, which is actually a variant of an already existing map (that of The Knight).

And today the DLC was finally released on all platforms:

During the PTB, which is the Test version of the DLC that is released on Steam to preview the new content and give feedback on them, players were not very impressed with Vecna’s power that was considered rather weak due mainly to the huge cooldowns given to the various spells he can use, thus making his power useless and slow.
