Dead by Daylight: Leaked Survivor from the Next Chapter Surfaces Ahead of January 2026 Release

It looks like Dead by Daylight has suffered yet another blow: according to recent leaks, the next survivor slated to arrive in the game may have already been revealed — months before the chapter’s newly scheduled release in January 2026.

Originally, this chapter was expected to land in September 2025, with its Public Test Build (PTB) arriving just weeks beforehand. However, things have not gone as planned. Since mid-July, the game has been plagued by a significant wave of bugs and technical issues, forcing the developers to shift priorities. The situation escalated even further when a live event — featuring a special appearance from a The Walking Dead actor — was abruptly derailed due to unexpected technical problems.

As a result, Behaviour Interactive promised sweeping bug fixes and announced a delay for several upcoming pieces of content, including the highly anticipated chapter. That content will now only see the light of day in January 2026.

The community’s response was swift and unified: players expressed deep frustration, claiming that trust in the developers has been completely eroded. Fans argue that, for years, Behaviour has insisted that their main focus is on fixing the game’s long-standing bugs rather than pushing out new content — yet little has improved in practice. With the game’s 10th anniversary looming in 2026, many are questioning how, and if, there will be much to celebrate.

Still, some recent leaks may give the community a glimpse of what’s coming next. While nothing has been confirmed officially, rumors suggest that the new survivor could be a female musician. The upcoming chapter reportedly draws inspiration from Asian folklore, and early speculation even hinted at a terrifying spider-woman killer joining the Entity’s realm.

As always, take these rumors with a grain of salt until Behaviour provides official confirmation. For now, Dead by Daylight players can only hope that the developers deliver on their promises and that the fog once again becomes a place worth spending countless hours of fear and fun.
