When someone contacted me in late January to talk about this, I didn’t want to believe it, it seemed like a joke, and when a few days ago the trademark was actually registered I was even more confused.
On February 16, 2022, Behaviour Interactive, the company that works on Dead by Daylight, registered a trademark for a dating sim called 'Hooked on You'.
It could be something related to April Fools Day, or some particular 'event' related to Dead by Daylight, or even a product in its own right to download for all platforms.
Ever since I heard about this, I’ve been looking for ways to understand it a little bit more, and the only thing I’ve found out, is that the attorney of record of this trademark has a slightly different name from the attorney of record that instead has signed the other trademarks of Behaviour Interactive related to Dead by Daylight:
In trying to see if this trademark was somehow 'fake', I tried to compare the information of the person who registered it, comparing it with the other trademarks of Behaviour Interactive related to Dead by Daylight, and the only thing that changes is that in the trademark of dating sim, the attorney of record is: Rob LeBlanc. In all the others, the attorney is J. Robert LeBlanc.
At the moment I don’t know if it means anything, but this is the only thing that changes in the information of those who have registered this trademark.
For example:
Last year I told you that Behaviour Interactive was working on an exclusive Xbox game, could it be related to this trademark?
