Dead by Daylight: New Halloween Event, Frank Stone Rumors, and a Legendary Skin Inspired by Death Stranding 2 Actress!
Behaviour Interactive has shared fresh information about the upcoming Halloween 2025 event in Dead by Daylight, which officially begins on October 14. This year’s event promises brand-new mechanics, exclusive rewards, and some surprising developments regarding cosmetics.
New Mechanics for Halloween 2025
Void Crystals

Survivors can collect Void Crystals and attach them to generators.

Once attached, the generator will automatically repair at a rate of 0.8 charges per second for 30 seconds.
Haunts
-
Three Haunts spawn in the Void and can attack survivors within 5 meters, making them scream and applying a 12% Hindered status effect for 7 seconds.

After an attack, a Haunt enters a 60-second cooldown.

Haunts granted by the Void Well can now also be used to increase break action speed by 30%.

The Haunt’s attack remains unchanged from previous mechanics.
Event Rewards
The Halloween event comes with a variety of cosmetics and collectibles:

New Outfits: Felix Richter & The Skull Merchant.

Torso Cosmetics: Dwight Fairfield, Zarina Kassir, Vee Boonyasak.

Weapon Cosmetics: The Oni, The Trickster, The Krasue.

Collectibles: 3 Badges, 3 Banners, and 1 Charm.
Outfits can be unlocked by completing in-game quests, while other rewards can be purchased using event currency.
The Mysterious Case of the Frank Stone Outfit
Earlier this year, the Dead by Daylight team announced a legendary outfit for The Trapper based on Frank Stone, initially planned for release in September. However, the cosmetic was not mentioned during the most recent stream, nor does it appear on the October roadmap.
This has led to speculation that the outfit has either been canceled or postponed. One theory suggests Behaviour may have decided to develop a full chapter centered on Frank Stone, rather than simply offering him as a skin for The Trapper.
