Yesterday there was an AMA on Reddit, which is a series of questions from fans and answers from the developers of Dead by Daylight, and among the various answers are two very interesting ones.
In fact, it's been a long time that Dead by Daylight players would like new modes within the game, especially since now the world of asymmetric horror multiplayer is evolving, thanks in part to the recent Texas Chainsaw Massacre that brings a new formula of 3vs4 based on stealth and not on simple 'cat and mouse' as is the case on Dead by Daylight:

And fans of the game have actually asked, once again, if there will be new modes within Dead by Daylight, and the answer was that they are actually working on something like that:
Also, the other question I want to talk to you about instead is about the development time of a killer, that is, how long they take to create one, and the answer is very interesting:
A lot of people have been thinking about it, and it's actually a legitimate thought, because just last year, the creators of Phantasm said on Twitter that they would love to be involved in a horror game, and Dead by Daylight was obviously the answer in all the comments in that tweet:
And no less than two licensed chapters are coming this year, since they take about a year to develop a killer, in terms of timing, I'd say we're there.
Obviously this doesn't mean that Phantasm will be coming to Dead by Daylight, however, if it does indeed take about a year to develop a killer, it is somewhat peculiar that this year there will indeed be two licensed chapters, one of which contains only the killer, without the survivor, and could therefore be just The Tall Man from Phantasm.
For those who do not know what Phantasm is:
Phantasms is a low-budget fantasy horror film that is now considered a cult film. Produced in 1977 and released in 1979, it was directed by Don Coscarelli, who also handled the screenplay, cinematography, production, and editing.
Introduced in this film is the disturbing figure of the Tall Man (played by Angus Scrimm), an evil, sadistic gravedigger with superhuman strength who turns the dead into dwarves to be made his slaves once they are brought to his dimension of origin.
The film had four sequels: Phantasm II, Phantasm III - Lord of the Dead and Phantasm IV: Oblivion. The fifth installment, titled Phantasm: Ravager, was released in U.S. theaters on October 7, 2016.

Would you like Dead by Daylight to collaborate with Phantasm?
