After the recent leaks about Chapter 28 and everything else that will pertain to the seventh anniversary of Dead by Daylight:

Many have expressed their disappointment in case those leaks turn out to be true, that is, if indeed Chapter 28 will be another licensed chapter, after the last licensed chapter of a new IP was Sadako's in March 2022, and another one released in September 2022 but with Resident Evil with which Dead by Daylight had previously collaborated.

To celebrate game anniversaries, Behaviour Interactive usually prepares a collaboration to make fans happy, but last year that was not the case, and this year seems to be repeating itself.

However, there is one small thing that many people probably forgot, because it is true that last year the chapter with which they celebrated the game's sixth anniversary was original, but within the same livestream in which they presented it, there were several announcements of upcoming collaborations, including one with Attack on Titan and the teaser of the second chapter with Resident Evil:

This is probably to avoid leaks on the chapter, thus saving the licensed chapter for the next content, i.e., the one to be released in September, and presenting it in advance in the same livestream in June, just as happened last year.

If that is the case, Silent Hill could have its second chapter just as happened last year with Resident Evil, and the reasons are many.

In fact, for those who do not know, Konami has literally resurrected the IP by announcing a multitude of projects including a new movie and a project in collaboration with Behaviour Interactive itself:

Just due to the fact that Konami is currently teaming up with the company that produces Dead by Daylight to work on Silent Hill: Ascension, and also due to the fact that the Resident Evil 2 Remake is scheduled to be released soon, the two companies could collaborate to bring a new chapter within the asymmetrical horror multiplayer, and the new killer could be Valtiel, who appears in Silent Hill 3 and Silent Hill: Revelations.

Valtiel, for those who do not know what he is, is, in the Silent Hill religion, the closest being to God, i.e., his assistant, and is revered as an Angel.
He is also the one who in the third game is tasked with protecting Heather Mason so that she fulfills her mission to give birth to the deity she unknowingly has in her womb.

Although Valtiel and Pyramid Head have some points in common such as the fact that they both have their faces covered, they are actually born with two different purposes: in fact, Pyramid Head is in charge of persecuting and killing, Valtiel on the other hand, as mentioned earlier, is born to guard and protect.

In fact, on this subject there was a statement from their creator himself, Masahiro Ito:
"In Silent Hill 3 the connection with the first chapter is quite clear, but the point of contact with the second game is not obvious. I created Valtiel because I wanted to identify the works of the series through a creature. In the Silent Hill religion, Valtiel exists as the one who is close to the God, and Pyramid Head takes its form from Valtiel's own reason for existence. In other words, the character of Pyramid Head was born from the idolatrous ideologies of the townspeople. In the first game, the ceremonial robes were a tribute to Valtiel."

Valtiel then could join Dead by Daylight after Pyramid Head, just as Albert Wesker joined Dead by Daylight after The Nemesis.
