The story around Friday the 13th: The Game is quite peculiar as much as it is sad, because after excellent initial sales, several problems began to arise both with the balance of the gameplay, and with the license, which in fact then led to an abandonment of development by Gun Media that forced the team to no longer be able to release contents for the game, other than bug fixes.
Today comes the sad news that by the end of the year the license will expire and thus the game will be removed from digital and physical sales.
Precisely on December 31, 2023 in fact, Friday the 13th The Game will no longer be available for purchase, a little positive news is that those who want to try it will be able to do so at a discounted price, in fact prices have been lowered to $4.99 for the game and $0.99 for each DLC.
As of December 31 this year, therefore, it will no longer be possible to buy it, but until December 31, 2024, those who own the game will be able to play it.
From 2025 then, the servers will be closed, at which time the game will cease to exist for everyone:

Gun Media is currently involved in the development of a new licensed asymmetrical horror multiplayer, this time concerning Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which looks much more promising, however, and with the involvement of the original author as well:
