Jason Voorhees Rumors Explode Again as Dead by Daylight Fans Decode New Teasers
For months, the possibility of Jason Voorhees arriving in Dead by Daylight has been one of the hottest topics in the horror gaming community. But since yesterday, the speculation has intensified dramatically, with fans now convinced that the iconic killer could finally join the game in June as part of its massive 10th anniversary celebration.
The timing would make perfect sense. After recent appearances in Fortnite and Call of Duty, many players believe the legendary slasher is ready for his next crossover. Now, however, fans think Behaviour Interactive may finally be teasing it directly.
The discussion exploded yesterday after the official Dead by Daylight channels suddenly went live on both YouTube and Twitch with extremely short trailers focused on The Artist. The YouTube stream lasted 13 seconds, while the Twitch version lasted 15 seconds.
The official DBD channel uploaded a video called but it was quickly privated.

The content was The Artist’s trailer and was EXACTLY 13 seconds long. The vid from yesterday was also 13 seconds.
In response to someone, DBD said “Only the time can tell”. 👀 pic.twitter.com/EicpX88Nnj
In my opinion, this could not realistically have been an accidental broadcast. Before starting a livestream, the person streaming must manually select the video source being transmitted. If it had truly been a mistake, viewers would likely have seen a black screen, a desktop capture, or some kind of technical issue. Instead, what appeared on both platforms was a carefully edited clip that ended with a clean fade-to-black transition, suggesting that every second was intentionally planned.
Naturally, the community immediately began searching for hidden meanings.
One of the most discussed theories revolves around The Artist’s lore itself. In Dead by Daylight’s story, The Artist is essentially forced into a maternal role after her own mother abandons the family, leaving her to care for her younger brother. Fans believe this “mother” theme could be a direct reference to the importance of Pamela Voorhees in the Friday the 13th universe.
In the very first Friday the 13th film, it is Jason’s mother who murders the camp counselors near Crystal Lake. Because of that, some players think the use of The Artist may not have been random at all.
The numbers themselves have also become a major talking point. The 13-second and 15-second durations appear particularly suspicious to theorists because those exact numbers are referenced in The Artist’s lore during a conversation between the two siblings before they dig a grave together. Fans have compared this detail to the famous grave-digging scene involving Tommy Jarvis in the Jason saga.

Of course, the number 13 has an even more obvious connection: the Friday the 13th franchise itself.
Another popular theory focuses on The Artist’s original reveal trailer. At exactly 13 seconds into the video, the featured survivor Jonah Vasquez appears on screen. Fans quickly noticed that his initials — JV — perfectly match the initials of Jason Voorhees.
The speculation does not stop there.
Some players are now analyzing the teaser schedule shared by the Dead by Daylight team ahead of the June chapter reveal. According to community theories, if you connect the circled teaser dates shown by the developers, they appear to form the letters “JA” — which many interpret as the beginning of Jason’s name.

Finally, fans have also pointed toward the design of Dead by Daylight’s 10th anniversary logo itself. By visually flipping or rearranging the “1” and “0,” some believe the symbols resemble the letters “J” and “O,” creating another hidden reference to “JasOn.”
I'm going to wrap up all the rumours. You remember how pyramid head's head was the number 4 on the 4th anniversary Banner? Exactly!

Just flip the 10 and you easily get the Word "Jason" with a little bit of imagination. Can't wait. 😁 #dbd @DeadbyDaylight @PaulieEsther1 pic.twitter.com/WWYk81EFEO
At this point, none of these theories have been officially confirmed by Behaviour Interactive. However, the sheer amount of discussion surrounding these teasers has reignited excitement across the horror gaming community, especially among fans who have wanted Jason Voorhees in Dead by Daylight for years.
Whether these clues are intentional breadcrumbs or simply coincidences amplified by fan speculation, one thing is certain: the community is watching every teaser frame-by-frame, convinced that something major is coming this June.
