Predator, Star Wars, and Jurassic World Could Be Dead by Daylight’s Next Major Licensed Chapters
Dead by Daylight has spent the last few years cementing itself as the ultimate crossover platform for horror icons. From Michael Myers and Ghost Face to Alien, Castlevania, and now Jason Voorhees, Behaviour Interactive has consistently delivered some of the most requested licenses in gaming. Looking ahead, however, three massive franchises appear to be emerging as the most likely candidates for future chapters: Predator, Star Wars, and Jurassic World.
While none of these collaborations have been officially announced, rumors, leaks, and industry connections suggest that all three are realistic possibilities, with Predator and Jurassic World potentially arriving as full chapters sometime in 2027.
Predator Has Been Rumored for Over a Year
Among all potential future licenses, Predator may be the most likely.
Rumors surrounding a Predator chapter began circulating last year, around the same time that the franchise itself was entering a new era. Producers behind the series publicly confirmed that multiple Predator projects were in development, including an animated film and a new live-action movie, both of which were released last year as part of Disney’s renewed push for the brand.
That connection is particularly important because Disney now owns the Predator franchise through its acquisition of 20th Century Fox. More importantly for Dead by Daylight fans, Disney is also the owner of Alien, which successfully arrived in the game in 2023.
Because Behaviour Interactive has already worked directly with Disney and 20th Century Studios to bring the Xenomorph to Dead by Daylight, many fans believe the groundwork has already been laid for another collaboration involving one of the company’s biggest horror properties.
Adding fuel to the speculation were several intriguing clues discovered throughout the game last year. One of the most discussed examples was the inclusion of a Xenomorph cosmetic inspired by the Alien vs. Predator universe rather than the traditional Alien films. While not direct confirmation, many players viewed it as a subtle nod toward the Predator franchise.
Other hints appeared inside the game’s environments. On the Greenville Square map, players noticed a new arcade cabinet called “Skull Mission“, while another arcade machine outside the cinema rewarded players with a skull icon. Considering the Predator’s long-established obsession with collecting trophies and human skulls, many fans interpreted these references as intentional teases.
Taken individually, these clues may not mean much. Together, however, they have kept Predator at the top of many prediction lists, leading some fans to believe the hunter could arrive as Dead by Daylight’s next major horror crossover in 2027.
Jurassic World Leaks Continue to Gain Attention
While Predator speculation is largely based on circumstantial evidence, Jurassic World rumors have become increasingly detailed.
According to recent leaks, the chapter’s Killer would be the Indoraptor from Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. Reports claim Behaviour could utilize assets and designs derived from Frontier’s Jurassic World Evolution trilogy, potentially helping the studio adapt such a complex creature into Dead by Daylight.
The leaked gameplay sounds particularly unique. The Indoraptor would reportedly specialize in stealth and aggressive hunting mechanics, allowing it to enter a stalking mode that makes it extremely difficult—or potentially impossible—for Survivors to detect.
Once in pursuit, the creature could use a short dash attack capable of disrupting Survivors and eventually evolve that ability into a powerful leap attack. Unlike most Killers, the Indoraptor would allegedly be able to vault over windows and pallets during these leaps, giving it exceptional mobility during chases.
If the attack connects, leaks suggest it would remove an entire health state.
Another rumored mechanic would see Survivors forced into a sequence of skill checks after being pounced on. Successfully completing those skill checks could allow players to escape and briefly stun the Indoraptor.
The Survivor roster is reportedly just as ambitious. Leaks point toward Owen Grady and Claire Dearing as the chapter’s playable Survivors, complete with character likenesses and voice work. Whether Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard would directly participate remains unclear.
Additional rumors claim that legendary cosmetics could bring the original Jurassic Park trio—Alan Grant, Ellie Sattler, and Ian Malcolm—into the game.
The chapter’s map is said to be based on the Jurassic World Visitor Center, while cosmetic plans reportedly include a “Gen 2” Indoraptor skin and a future Rift inspired by Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory.
As with all leaks, details should be treated cautiously, but the sheer volume of information surrounding Jurassic World has made it one of the most discussed potential licenses in the community.
Star Wars Could Be Closer Than Fans Think
At first glance, Star Wars might seem like an unusual fit for Dead by Daylight. However, the possibility has become increasingly believable over the last year.
One major reason is Behaviour Interactive’s growing relationship with Disney. The studio has already delivered the Alien chapter and, more recently, developed a game based on the Star Wars license, demonstrating that it has active business ties with one of the world’s largest entertainment companies.
Those existing relationships could prove crucial when negotiating future collaborations.
While Star Wars would undoubtedly require a creative approach to fit Dead by Daylight’s horror-focused universe, the franchise has no shortage of darker characters that could work as Killers. Sith Lords, Inquisitors, bounty hunters, or even creatures from the galaxy far, far away could all provide interesting possibilities.
More importantly, the idea no longer feels impossible. If Behaviour has already secured Alien and successfully worked on a Star Wars project, it is clear that communication channels with Disney are open.
Disney Could Hold the Key to Dead by Daylight’s Future
When looking at the bigger picture, Predator, Jurassic World, and Star Wars all make a surprising amount of sense.
Predator already shares DNA with Alien, Jurassic World remains one of the biggest entertainment brands on the planet, and Star Wars represents one of Disney’s most valuable properties. With Behaviour Interactive continuing to expand its network of licensed partnerships, these three franchises stand out as some of the most realistic candidates for future chapters.
Nothing is official yet, but if recent rumors prove accurate, Dead by Daylight’s next few years could feature some of the biggest crossovers in the game’s history.
