Here’s where things get interesting. Brian Beacock, the English voice actor for Monokuma, recently posted the date November 25 on Twitter/X—without much context. This cryptic post has fueled speculation that something related to Danganronpa is set to drop on that day.
Even more suspicious: after the post triggered a wave of speculation about Dead by Daylight, the tweet was quietly deleted. That move has only amplified suspicions, especially since Dead by Daylight has a licensed chapter confirmed for that very month.
Coincidentally, November 2025 marks the 15th anniversary of the Danganronpa franchise, and originally this chapter was supposed to be released in November before it was postponed to January. So, this lines up perfectly with the DbD chapter, which Behaviour Interactive already confirmed would include two Survivors and one Killer.
That alignment is a strong clue. But there’s more.

Dead by Daylight’s recent Tokyo Ghoul collaboration marked a major step into anime and Japanese pop culture. Afterward, Behaviour stated that more Japanese collaborations are on the way. Danganronpa—being one of Japan’s most recognizable modern franchises—fits that bill perfectly.

The structure of the upcoming chapter (two Survivors, one Killer) fits Danganronpa well. Across the main trilogy, there are nearly 50 named characters, many of whom could easily become Survivors or Legendary Skins. That character variety opens the door for monetization through cosmetics, a strategy DbD has used in other collaborations, such as with Resident Evil.
