This chapter, which was released on November 28, marks the first appearance of a canine in the game—a detail that has sparked a wave of speculation among fans. For years, the community has eagerly anticipated a crossover featuring Scooby-Doo, one of the most iconic mystery-solving dogs in pop culture. With Behaviour’s frequent surveys—including the most recent one in September—consistently listing Scooby-Doo as an option, fans are wondering if this fan-favorite collaboration could finally become a reality:
Moreover, recent code leaks reveal that The Houndmaster’s dog may receive various skins that completely alter its appearance, and in fact some skins have already been released that totally change the appearance of the dog, leading many to speculate that Scooby-Doo could eventually be introduced either as a legendary skin for The Houndmaster or as part of a unique chapter.
But that’s not all—what could also happen is a full Scooby-Doo chapter, with Scooby himself becoming Shaggy’s companion. Given these hints, let’s consider a potential Scooby-Doo chapter concept and what it might look like in the fog-filled realm of Dead by Daylight.
Concept for a Scooby-Doo Chapter: “Shadows of Mystery”
New Killer: The Creeper
- Role: Killer
- Difficulty: Intermediate
- Appearance: The Creeper is an amalgamation of classic Scooby-Doo monsters, a grotesque, shadowy figure that shifts and transforms into iconic monster forms, such as the Ghost Diver, the Black Knight, and the Tar Monster. Its twisted design still hints at a tattered disguise, blending both spooky and comedic horror.
Power: Fearful Phantasm
The Creeper uses illusions and traps to hunt survivors by preying on their fears and disorienting their path.

- Haunting Visions: The Creeper can summon phantasm illusions resembling classic Scooby-Doo monsters that chase survivors for a short duration. These illusions cannot harm survivors but will reveal their location if the survivor gets close or runs in panic.
- Mystery Trap: Place “Mystery Traps” on key map locations (pallets, windows, or generators). When a survivor interacts with the area, the trap activates, releasing an illusion of a monster that blocks the survivor’s path briefly.

Special Ability: Terrifying Howl
The Creeper emits a monstrous howl, temporarily blinding and deafening all survivors in a small radius. Survivors affected by the howl become Exposed for 10 seconds if they are near an active illusion or trap. - Perks:

- Mask of Terror: After damaging a generator, survivors within 16 meters are Oblivious for 12/14/16 seconds.
- Haunted Step: Every time a pallet is dropped, gain a speed boost of 3/4/5% for 6 seconds.
- Mystic Presence: Illusions linger longer near unfinished generators. Generators regress 4/6/8% faster when no survivors are nearby.
New Survivor: Shaggy Rogers
- Role: Survivor
- Appearance: Shaggy is portrayed in his classic green shirt and brown pants, often looking nervously over his shoulder. His animations feature jittery, exaggerated movements, capturing his fearful but determined nature.

When you are within 20/24/28 meters of the killer, gain a 5% Haste effect for 4 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 40/35/30 seconds. -
Snack Time
Unlock a Snack Boost token when completing 50% of a generator. Use a token to heal yourself for 25% health or gain a 3% speed boost for 6 seconds. You can hold 1/2/2 tokens at a time. -
Scooby Senses
When crouching for 4 seconds, you can see the killer’s aura within 24/28/32 meters for 5 seconds. This perk has a cooldown of 50/40/30 seconds.
New Map: Mystery Mansion

Overview: Mystery Mansion is an eerie, sprawling mansion filled with hidden rooms, secret passages, and classic haunted house tropes. The map includes creaky doors, ghostly decorations, cobweb-filled hallways, and dusty furniture. Survivors can trigger small interactive events like moving bookcases or stepping on trap doors that lead to secret tunnels for quick escapes.

Unique Features:
- The Library Passage: A special room where survivors can move a bookcase to reveal an underground shortcut.
- The Grand Hall: A large central area featuring creepy portraits, an old piano, and hidden trap doors.
In this concept chapter, I’ve imagined some perks for Shaggy, but with potential legendary skins, this chapter could actually feature two Survivors at launch, similar to Resident Evil and Stranger Things, with other characters added later through legendary skins.
And, with the Scooby-Doo chapter, we could even see the first Survivor with a dog companion alongside them, along with perks connected to him. This Scooby-Doo chapter would be a perfect mix of lighthearted nostalgia and horror, combining the classic charm of Scooby-Doo with the grim atmosphere of Dead by Daylight. Shaggy Rogers brings comical yet useful perks to the game, while The Creeper delivers fear and chaos with illusions and traps, creating a unique and thrilling gameplay experience.
Fans can only hope that Behaviour Interactive will listen to the growing calls for this dream collaboration and that, one day, Scooby-Doo will join the cast of iconic characters in Dead by Daylight.
