RUMOR: Dead by Daylight 10th Anniversary May Feature a Star Wars Darth Vader Chapter
A new rumor is quietly gaining traction in the gaming community: what if Star Wars is heading to Dead by Daylight? While nothing has been officially confirmed, there are a few intriguing clues that make the idea less far-fetched than it might initially seem.
The speculation began after Behaviour Interactive revealed a new Monopoly video game themed around Star Wars, reportedly coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. On the surface, this might seem unrelated—but it implies something important: Behaviour Interactive has access to the Star Wars license, at least to some degree.
That matters because Star Wars is owned by Disney, a company that has already collaborated with Behaviour in the past. In fact, Dead by Daylight previously introduced content from Alien, another Disney-owned property, and even released new skins tied to that franchise quite recently. This establishes a precedent: Disney is clearly open to licensing its IPs into Behaviour’s multiplayer horror ecosystem.
So, could a galaxy far, far away collide with the fog?

Why Star Wars Could Actually Fit
At first glance, Star Wars might not seem like a natural fit for a horror game. But certain characters—particularly Sith Lords—carry a dark, oppressive presence that aligns surprisingly well with Dead by Daylight’s tone. Few characters embody that better than Darth Vader.
Vader isn’t just iconic—he’s terrifying. His mechanical breathing, relentless pursuit, and overwhelming power could translate beautifully into a killer design.
Concept: Darth Vader as a Killer
Killer Name: The Sith Lord
Weapon: Lightsaber
Terror Radius: 32 meters
Movement Speed: Slightly slower than average (to reflect his imposing presence)
Power: Force Domination
Darth Vader uses the Force to control survivors and the environment.
- Force Choke: Activate on a targeted survivor within range to lift them briefly, immobilizing them and causing damage over time. Survivors can attempt a skill check to break free faster.
- Force Pull: Pull pallets or survivors toward Vader. This could counter looping strategies by dragging survivors out of safe zones.
- Dark Presence: Survivors within the Terror Radius suffer from subtle visual and audio distortions, simulating fear and disorientation.
Unique Perks
1. “I Find Your Lack of Faith Disturbing”
When a survivor fails a skill check, their aura is revealed for a short duration. The effect has a cooldown but encourages pressure on generator repairs.
2. “Relentless Pursuit”
Each time a survivor escapes a chase, gain a stacking speed boost for future chases (up to a cap). This reflects Vader’s persistence—once he starts hunting, he doesn’t stop.
3. “No Escape from the Dark Side”
When the exit gates are powered, all injured survivors suffer from the Exposed status effect for a limited time, forcing high-risk endgame decisions.
Final Thoughts
While this crossover remains purely speculative, the pieces are interestingly aligned: Behaviour Interactive has demonstrated access to the Star Wars license, Disney has already collaborated with Dead by Daylight, and the game continues to expand with unexpected crossovers.
A chapter featuring Darth Vader might sound unlikely—but not impossible. And if it ever happens, it could be one of the most unique and atmospheric additions the game has ever seen.
