In October 2022 Konami held an event where new projects regarding Silent Hill were presented including several games and even a movie:

Among the various projects announced was Silent Hill Ascension, in collaboration with Genvid, Bad Robot Games, and Behaviour Interactive, i.e., the creators of Dead by Daylight.

When it was first unveiled, there was a lot of puzzlement from the community who couldn't quite figure out what it was, in fact the only information regarding Ascension was that it was not a real video game but a kind of interactive TV series, and today comes new information and even a new trailer.

In fact Ascension will actually be a TV series that will take place simultaneously around the world and users will be able to decide through their choices the fate of the characters, it will in fact all be decided by the players, so much so that not even the developers know how the story will end.

The writing of the story is based on new characters, new monsters, and new settings, and starting at the end of 2023, players around the world will be able to tune in by watching the story change from day to day based on the choices the audience makes.
