Yesterday were announced new projects related to the saga of Silent Hill including three new games, an interactive adventure streaming whose development there are also those of Dead by Daylight, and a new film directed by the director of the first film:

Why I start to talk about the movie and not with video games you might be wondering. Well, those who followed the event yesterday perhaps already understood: from what was said in the interviews in fact, it seems that the relaunch of the Silent Hill saga started from Christophe Gans and Victor Hadida (director of the first film and producer of the Silent Hill films) by presenting a new script for a new film about Silent Hill and Konami felt so satisfied. Defeat of the idea that they managed to convince them also to relaunch the whole saga with new games.
The movie, called 'Return to Silent Hill', will be based on Silent Hill 2, it will tell about James Sunderland, although some things will be remade to make them more modern. The director has talked several times about the respect he has for the original works of the saga, confirming also the return of Pyramid Head within the new film, but also aims to surprise viewers with new things.
The cast and shooting have not yet begun, stating that for now what is complete is only the storyboard.
The new Silent Hill film was anticipated by the director a few months ago, now that it has been officially presented, how does it seem?

As for the video games, as you could read in these hours, Silent Hill 2 will get a remake with Unreal Engine 5 and that will also take advantage of the Dualsense of Playstation 5, developed by Bloober Team with the support of Akira Yamaoka, the original composer of the saga, and Masahiro Ito, the monster design creator also of Pyramid Head.
The game will have a revamped combat system, and will be graphically much more detailed thanks to the new features of the Epic Games game engine, namely Lumen and Nanite.
Lumen will in fact allow to have completely dynamic global lighting that reacts immediately to changes of scene and light, this will therefore allow a much more realistic lighting, Nanite instead will allow to build incredibly detailed environments.
As for the players who will play it on Playstation 5 instead, can take advantage of the 3D audio of the console that will allow him to know with certainty the direction from which the various sounds come, and the Dualsense features with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers will also be exploited.
In addition, thanks to the SSD on the new consoles of Microsoft and Sony, you can explore the entire city without loading.

As for the other projects, in addition to the information contained in the article linked at the beginning of this, it has emerged, thanks to the always-knowledgeable insider Dusk Golem, that there are new indie projects similar to Townfall and that have not yet been revealed.
Konami has in fact given the IP of Silent Hill in the hands of several indie studios that are writing their version of the story and that will be probably part of a collection called 'Silent Hill Anthology', to let you better understand what it is, It could be something similar to Dark Pictures Anthology.
Speaking of projects not yet announced, there is also 'Silent Hill The Short Message' that still remains in the shadows, maybe it will be just one of these indie projects that is still not ready to be shown.
Finally, the project that has received a longer trailer and that has intrigued the fans is Silent Hill f, the one that should be just the new main game of the Konami saga.
Silent Hill f will be set in Japan in the 60s with the script entrusted to Ryukichi07, famous Japanese writer, author of the series Higurashi When They Cry. NeoBards Entertainment is working on the development, support software house that over the years has contributed to the creation of Resident Evil: Resistance and Devil May Cry: HD Collection, as well as aspects of design of Marvel’s Avengers. Character design is instead entrusted to the artist known as Kera.
Silent Hill Ascension instead will not be a game but an interactive adventure similar to a TV series you can 'play' in the company of friends and will be released next year.
