The Next Dead by Daylight Chapter Revealed: “Chorus of Sin”!
The next original chapter of Dead by Daylight has officially been decided by the community. After nearly a year of voting events known as “The Grimoire,” players have collectively shaped every major element of the upcoming chapter—from the killer’s appearance to the survivor’s design and even the final chapter title.
Developer Behaviour Interactive revealed the latest results from Phase 2, Verse 4, confirming the final choices selected by fans. The new chapter will be titled “Chorus of Sin.”
A Chapter Designed by the Community
“The Grimoire” initiative allowed players to participate in a series of global polls that gradually determined the direction of the chapter. Across multiple rounds of voting, the community chose design elements, character concepts, accessories, and names.
With the final round concluded, the key components of the chapter have now been locked in.
The New Killer: The Judgment
The upcoming killer will be known as The Judgment, a haunting angelic entity with a striking, otherworldly design.
In the final Phase 2, Verse 4 votes:

The chosen design depicts a celestial yet terrifying figure with radiant wings and a divine aesthetic twisted into something ominous. The killer wields an ornate staff-like weapon, reinforcing the theme of judgment and punishment.
The community’s decision reflects a clear preference for a dramatic, almost biblical horror concept—something rarely explored so explicitly in the game’s roster.
The New Survivor: Aurora
Alongside the new killer, players also selected the chapter’s survivor: Aurora.

Aurora appears as a mysterious, older survivor with long silver hair and a refined yet battle-worn look. Her design suggests a character with experience and resilience, contrasting sharply with the divine terror represented by The Judgment.

The final vote also determined the name of the upcoming chapter.

The title fits perfectly with the religious and ominous imagery associated with The Judgment, suggesting themes of morality, condemnation, and collective guilt.
A Unique Experiment for Dead by Daylight
“The Grimoire” marks one of the most ambitious community-driven design experiments in the history of Dead by Daylight. Rather than simply revealing a new chapter, Behaviour Interactive allowed players to shape it piece by piece through months of polls and design votes.
From the killer’s weapon to the survivor’s name, the entire chapter was effectively crowdsourced.
With the concept phase now complete, fans can look forward to seeing how The Judgment, Aurora, and the Chorus of Sin chapter will translate into gameplay, lore, and abilities when the chapter officially releases.
