There were many projects announced by CD Project RED in the press release a few weeks ago, including the announcement of the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077, a new game of The Witcher and other projects under several codenames.
Today one of those projects has been revealed: Canis Majoris is a project related to the first game in the The Witcher series, in fact it will be a remake of the game remade in Unreal Engine 5.
For those who do not know, the saga of The Witcher has become famous all over the world thanks to the third game of CD Project RED that also received many awards that made it become the most awarded game in the history of video games, passed a few years later by The Last Of Us Part II.
So a remake of the first chapter could be of interest to all fans of Geralt (the protagonist) that they have never played the first two video games, also because technically very old.
But the Witcher news doesn’t end there.
In fact, as you know, to take advantage of the popularity of the saga of The Witcher, Netflix began to produce the TV series that will have a third season to be released in the summer of 2023.
There is, however, important news about it.
The third season of the series will be the last in which Henry Cavill will play Geralt of Rivia, in fact from the fourth season will be Liam Hemsworth to play the character.
The reasons for this change are not known apart from that Henry Cavill will return in the shoes of Superman with a new movie in development, in any case the two actors have said words about the socials:
