For the uninitiated, the Saw saga revolves around John Kramer, a brain cancer patient who decides to test his victims with deadly traps to see if they are worthy of continuing to live a life that until that moment they have despised, all to transmit the value that has just life itself.
After choosing his victims, he has them kidnapped by his followers who, in order to hide their identity, wear a pig mask, and are taken to the place to begin rehearsals, and to illustrate them the course of the games will be Billy, a puppet on a tricycle that through the recorded voice of Kramer explains to the victims the operation of the tests through the television that at that time is in the room.
After the writer of Spiral, John Stolberg had anticipated it some time ago via twitter, now it has become official: Tobin Bell will return as John Kramer in the next movie of the saga to be released on October 27, 2023.
Indeed, many have wondered about his absence from the last film produced, which instead focuses on Chris Rock as a police officer with the aim of investigating a killer who uses a 'killing machine' different from the iconic saga due to the fact that Billy the puppet is not present in the movie, although the reference to Jigsaw is still evident in the name chosen for the spin-off, as 'spiral' recalls the spirals on his cheeks.
Then after the first spin-off of the saga, the original killer of Saw returns present in all eight films of the regular series, with the project entrusted to Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures, with production starting at the end of October 2022.
