Obviously, the speculations on who this new killer could be, have begun, and I will help you in the speculations by pointing out two things about the map & the killer.
THE KILLER IT'S VIGO?
First of all: who is Vigo?
Vigo was an Inventor and Researcher, he is the one who created the hatch. He extensively studied The Entity, especially its biological and organic aspect, alongside its Realms, to the point that he was able to create new contraptions from The Fog, both mechanical and magical, including, in fact, the hatch.
Thanks to his studies on the entity he also managed to enter the Void, one of 6 known sub-realms to the Entity's Realm, the limbo where the entity discards the survivors who have lost all their hope and their soul making them empty shells that are no longer of any use to it. He managed to escape from the Void thanks to the putrid serum extracted from a Pustula during The Entity's yearly Blight cycle.
The most popular speculation is that the next killer is Vigo because the sound you hear in the official teaser is that of a injected syringe that is then thrown away, which results in a physical transformation of someone, and this same thing was shown last year in a video from the Archive, in which Vigo is seen injecting a syringe and undergoing a physical transformation:
I would like to point out another thing: the teaser of chapter 17 was released on the same day of anniversary day of "The Monster Squad", a 1987 horror classic in which five youngsters find themselves up against the combined might of classic Monsters such as Dracula, The Wolf Man, Gill-man, The Mummy, and Frankenstein’s monster:
AND THE MAP?
As we told you two days ago, it seems that the next chapter of Dead by Daylight will not have the map, and the reason could be that with this new chapter there will be the graphic update on a specific map or on more maps.
