It’s a long time that the community, after the arrival of many horror icons of the 80’s, also wants to see Pennywise inside the game of Behaviour Interactive, although until now this has not happened.
The first speculations began a few years ago, when the game director, Mathieu Cote, said that he is a big fan of that opera and that it would be a dream to see it on Dead by Daylight.
Then came the legendary skins, which allowed you to change the aesthetics of a character by making him appear a completely different person, then taking advantage of the same model of survivor/ killer to represent someone else, we saw for example with the Crypt TV Crossover, with chapters of Resident Evil & Silent Hill, but also in that of Stranger Things, in which Steve became Jonathan Byers with his legendary skin:
This allowed to increase even more speculation on the arrival of a collaboration between IT and Dead by Daylight, especially because that way you could bring into the game the whole Loser’s Club, In fact, one of the reasons that left the game community doubtful was how to bring all the characters of the book within a single chapter, as until then the chapters were made up of a survivor and a killer.
From Stranger Things on but even this limit was exceeded, in fact with the collaboration with Netflix came the first chapter that contained two survivors instead of one, and with Resident Evil was explored even more the option of legendary skins, having brought almost all the characters of the saga into the game of Behaviour Interactive, with also their lines of dialogue, which could be an option for a future chapter of IT:
In addition, last year was shared a teaser by the social media of Dead by Daylight that suggested that something related to a 'clown' was coming:
And the speculations did not end there, indeed, continued this year thanks to the statements of the Creative Director of Dead by Daylight about a collaboration with Stephen King:
And finally, came the news of the production of a prequel TV series in which HBO and the director of the two recent IT movies are involved:
With also some news a few days ago about the production of the TV series, the setting and more about the plot:
But there was another clue that made the community even more speculate, the fact that within the recent PTB of Dead by Daylight concerning the new chapter coming soon, Forged in Fog:
There’s a bug about a variant of the Backwater Swamp map that was never published, and there’s also sewers, which for the uninitiated, is a very important place within IT because it’s where the creature is, and that’s where the Losers go to face him:

As you can see, the bug consists in the fact that randomly, within the Backwater Swamp map, also spawns this tile of the map that it has never been published, as it is part of a map that is not in the game.
Many people think it might be a bug because the developers are working on that map to put it into the game soon.
What do you think? Would you like Dead by Daylight to collaborate with Stephen King?
